Welcome to Drawing Centres International

Drawing Centres International is a new educational initiative of the Drawing Society of Canada.

The Drawing Society of Canada is a non-profit, arts education organization, dedicated to preserve, profile, and promote the fine art of drawing. Since its founding in 1998, the society has become increasingly aware that in the extensive mix of public and private galleries, and the vast expanse of national and international arts markets, drawing has suffered at best a second place finish and at its worst, no finish at all. Some, however, are taking bold steps to take drawing out of the shadows of its noisy rival sibling, painting, and give drawing the esteemed position it deserves. If indeed Michelangelo deemed it suitable to call drawing the "fountainhead' of all creativity, then let us proceed to give credit where credit is due, to the dedicated artists worlwide who are committed to drink deep from the drawing fountain.

Drawing Centres International is an online database to list those galleries, public and private, arts organizations, arts institutions, schools, and collections, who focus primarily or exclusively on the fine art of drawing.
